CREATIVE ARTS EMMY AWARDS: WINNERS LIST (UPDATING LIVE)

Night one of the Creative Arts Emmys is underway at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.

The first of two Creative Arts ceremonies held this weekend will focus on unscripted and documentary programs. Sunday's Creative Arts ceremony will bestow trophies on scripted programs.

FX's "Shogun" dominated the Emmy nominations with 25 nods. The drama series based on James Clavell's epic novel landed musician and composer Atticus Ross a nomination for music composition for a series while costume designer Carlos Rosario was also nominated.

Michael Minkler ("Masters of the Air") and Robert Elswit ("Ripley") were among the industry heavyweights who led the Creative Art Emmy nominations.

Composer Hans Zimmer has won practically every major show-biz award: he has two Oscars, three Golden Globes and four Grammys. But he has never won an Emmy, and this year he has his best shot yet with nominations in three categories across the Creative Arts Emmys nominations. A win would put him closer to achieving EGOT status – he would only need a Tony award.

A win for songwriters Benj Paul and Justin Pasek who co-wrote the "Only Murders in the Building," "Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It?" song would catapult the duo into EGOT status, as they already have Oscars, Tonys and Grammys.

An edited presentation of the Creative Arts Emmys will air on Sept. 14, at 8:00 PM PDT on FXX, the night before the Primetime Emmys. The 76th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live from downtown Los Angeles' LA Live Peacock Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT on ABC. The broadcast will then be available to be streamed the next day on Hulu.
