Amanda Kloots said she felt 'less alone' after self-professed psychic medium Theresa Caputo claimed to have a conversation with her late husband Nick Cordero

The 42-year-old talk show host was a guest on Monday's episode of Theresa Caputo: Raising Spirits: Spirit to the Stars that featured Caputo, 57, channeling late family members of celebrities.

'I am Amanda Kloots, and I'm a co-host of "The Talk" on CBS. But I was a dancer on Broadway, I've danced my entire life. And then I left Broadway, left performing, started my fitness business and I've now become many more things,' she said in a voice-over introduction.

Theresa welcomed Amanda into her home and told her she's been up since 2am.

'Today I am so excited because I'm reading Amanda Kloots, but I am approaching this reading a little differently because I do know that unfortunately her husband passed away,' Theresa told the camera.

She told Amanda: 'So at 2am your husband decided to wake me up.'

'Yup, that doesn't shock me,' Amanda said with a laugh.

'Okay, he kept telling me that I need to prepare and that we have to rehearse. And I said, "There is no rehearsing, like this doesn't..." And then it hit me, he's an actor,' Theresa said.

'Yeah, he is an actor,' Amanda said of Nick who worked in film, TV and theater before he died in July 2020 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Theresa told Amanda that Nick said they had a 'very big day' and he couldn't 'let her down'.

'He said, "She's my life, she's my world, she's my everything, and I need her to know that I'm okay'',' Theresa said as Amanda wiped her eye.

In a confessional, Amanda opened up on their love journey.

'The love story of Nick and Amanda, it's quite a turbulent one. I met him when I was going through my divorce. We met while we were doing a Broadway show here in New York City. He was also kind of going through a breakup, so we were both damaged a little bit and needing a friend, and that's what we started out as, as friends,' Amanda said.

She added: 'Nick is easy to brag about, he was so loving and caring, he was a man of his word. He was a wonderful and best husband. And you know, I wish I could have seen him more as a dad, but for the little bit he was a dad, he was the best father as well.'

Nick and Amanda welcomed son Elvis in June 2019 and their boy turned five on Monday.

Theresa said that Nick told her the number three was big for them and she asked Amanda how she connects with the number three.

'We got married on the third, September 3rd. And we were married for three-years, we had three-years together,' Amanda said.

'He just said to me, "She's the strongest woman that I ever met'',' Theresa said.

Amanda grew emotional and wiped away tears.

'I literally just heard him say, "I never thought that my son would have to grow up without his dad." He said, "I never thought that my child would miss out on a dad the way I did with my dad." Is his dad departed as well?,' Theresa asked.

'His dad died, but they just didn't have a great relationship growing up,' Amanda said tearfully.

Amanda in a confessional told how Nick died on July 5, 2020, from repercussions of COVID.

'Nick got sick really early in COVID, March 2020, and he was immediately taken into the hospital on oxygen and then went on a ventilator pretty quickly after that,' Amanda said.

Theresa told Amanda that Nick kept showing her scenes of and glimpses of 'the last days of his life here'.

'And one of the main things that he showed me was that he was bed-restricted, but he said, "I need her to know that I heard her voice'',' Theresa said as Amanda fought off tears.

Theresa asked if she was in bed with him because Nick told her she was 'hogging the bed'.

'I couldn't move him, he was heavy,' Amanda said.

'And he was not conscious at that point, correct?,' Theresa asked.

'No,' Amanda said.

'So, know that your husband knew that you were holding him and laying with him as his soul left the physical body,' Theresa said.

Amanda recalled how his last few weeks had been rough and she was called on July 4th to go to the hospital.

'And at that point he had already lost so much weight, and he had lost his leg, and his body was already so transformed, but I asked the nurse if I could get into bed with him. And I just weaseled my way as much as I could, 'cause there was no room in this tiny hospital bed, and Nick was six-five. And so I just kind of like was able to maneuver, but I bawled that day 'cause it was a very beautiful moment. I felt us connect again,' Amanda said in a confessional.

'He said you were there for the moment that his soul actually left the physical body,' Theresa said.

'Yeah,' Amanda agreed.

Theresa told Amanda that Nick said his soul waited to leave his physical body for her.

'I stayed overnight that night, and I woke up at two o'clock in the morning and it was this gorgeous glow in the room, this like yellowy light, and it was beyond quiet in the room. That's when I feel like Nick's soul left his body. What COVID did to his lungs on top of hospital infections and everything that happened to him caused him to pass away after 95-days in the hospital,' Amanda said.

'He just said to me, "Tell her she did not die with me "And our love didn't die, it will continue to grow'',' Theresa said.

'See what a blessing,' Theresa added.

'It does, it makes you feel less alone,' Amanda said emotionally.

She told the camera: 'Some days seem easier to move forward, and some days you seem like you're going back in time. It's just this daily battle that I think you constantly have to just keep going. But I have a big whiteboard in my house, and one of the first things I wrote on it was move forward, keep walking forward.

'And I know Nick is encouraging me on that road, absolutely. Whenever I'm having a bad grief day, I always say, "What would he want me to do?" Would he want me to lay in bed and cry, or would he want me to get out of this house and do everything I possibly could do, and love everyone I could possibly love? And I know the answer to that is yes.'

Amanda told Theresa the experience was 'really wonderful' and thanked her.

Gloria Estefan, Brittany Howard and Bevy Smith also appeared on Monday's episode of Theresa Caputo: Raising Spirits: Spirit to the Stars

Theresa was on the TLC reality series Long Island Medium from 2011 to 2019 and returned to TV this year with Theresa Caputo: Raising Spirits on the Lifetime network.

The James Randi Educational Foundation in 2012 awarded Theresa with its Pigasus Award, a tongue-in-cheek award that seeks to expose parapsychological, paranormal or psychic frauds.

The late scientific skeptic James Randi starting in 1964 offered a $1,000 prize to anyone who could demonstrate supernatural ability under scientific testing criteria and it later expanded to become the One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge.

Over 1,000 people applied to take it, but none were successful before the challenge was terminated in 2015.

The Amherst, New York-based Center for Inquiry Investigations Group offers a $500,000 prize to anyone who can demonstrate any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power under scientific test conditions.
