MIRANDA LAMBERT RELEASES NEW SINGLE 'WRANGLERS' LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER ITS STAGECOACH DEBUT

Lambert debuted the song about escaping a toxic relationship during her set at Stagecoach Festival last Saturday

Miranda Lambert's latest female empowerment anthem is here — and it's a fiery one!

The country singer, 40, debuted "Wranglers" during Stagecoach festival on April 27, the event held in Indio, California that draws country music's biggest stars and their fans every year.

"I also realized that my setlist from 2024 and 2007 has not changed that much, because I like to set s--- on fire, y'all," the "Mama's Broken Heart" singer told the crowd while introducing the song at the festival.

The song — written by Audra Mae (who also sings on the track), Evan McKeever and Ryan Carpenter — features heavy electric barbed wire guitars as Lambert sings about a woman who "set it all on fire/and there's one thing that she learned/Wranglers take forever to burn."

"‘Wranglers’ is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back,” Lambert reflected on her latest single in a press release.

“I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us. This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels; I think the songwriters nailed it.”

“I am so proud to sing this song. It feels like it could have been on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’ in a lot of ways," Lambert continued referencing her 2007 hit.

"Wranglers" is Lambert's first solo single since she released "Strange" from her latest studio album, Palomino, in 2022. The single is available to stream on all platforms now.
