The Emmy Awards 2024 has just concluded, with “Shogun” and “The Bear” taking home the most awards with 18 and 11 honors, respectively.
Meanwhile, in a surprise win, "Hacks” took home the Outstanding Comedy Series award, triumphing over "The Bear."
With a total of 18 awards, “Shogun” set Emmys record as the most nominated and most awarded single-season drama series.
Among its trophies include Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Anna Sawai, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Hiroyuki Sanada, and Best Director for a Drama Series for Frederick E.O. Toye, as well as 14 awards at the Creative Arts Emmys in the previous week.
On the other hand, “The Bear” capped off this year's Emmys with a total of 11 awards, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Jeremy Allen White, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Liza Colón-Zayas, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Christopher Storer, as well as seven awards at the Creative Arts Emmys.
