Long-lost twins Cassiopeia (Solenn Heussaff) and Mitena (Rhian Ramos) finally met each other after being separated their whole lives.
Tuesday’s episode of “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre” showed Imaw revealing to Cassiopeia that the powerful woman in her vision, the one fated to end her life, is actually her twin, Mitena, whom she didn’t know existed as they were separated by their parents.
Through her power to teleport without occupying physical space, Cassiopeia visited Mitena in Mine-a-ve to confront her with the truth.
Fighting back tears, Cassiopeia offered her heartfelt words of apology for a past she never knew, also explaining that, contrary to what her twin had long believed, she and Encantadia never committed any sin against her.
“Patawad kung ikinulong ka nila sa malayong lupain. Patawad kung wala akong nagawa upang hanapin o iligtas ka. Patawad dahil hindi ko alam na ako ay may kakambal pala,” Cassiopeia said.
"Wala akong kasalanan, Mitena. Walang kasalanan sa 'yo ang Encantadia."
Mitena, however, refused to accept her sister’s remorse.
With eyes burning with vengeance, she raised her scepter and lashed out, shouting, “Sheda mushne (magtigil ka)!”
Her attack proved futile, as Cassiopeia was only present in spirit.
The episode also unveiled more of Mitena’s backstory in a flashback. It showed how she stole the scepter, Esperanto, from its sleeping guard and betrayed and killed in cold blood Ether, the cursed deity who was turned into a serpent.
"Sang'gre" airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it online via the Kapuso Stream on YouTube.
